Who doesn't love themselves some Pottery Barn?
I recently went to Pottery Barn and fell in love with obsessed over these terra cotta pots with sunflowers. I'm pretty sure I walked back and forth past them about seventeen times before leaving the store. Here's the important part of my story:
I left Pottery Barn without purchasing the terra cotta beauties {my husband is so proud!}. I'm not going to lie and say that my obsession ended upon the exit of the store. Instead, my creative instincts kicked in. Some may argue it's more of a common sense issue, I'm still going to think of myself as super amazing:)
Ok, before I get ahead of myself, I should show you the REAL photos from Pottery Barn. Aren't they pretty?
You know what isn't pretty? THE PRICE!
Now, it's not that $12.95 is that unaffordable. It's just that I needed wanted three of them. So, here's a more detailed visual of what that might cost:
Everybody knows, it's best to decorate in threes. Maybe that's not the exact saying, but I happen to believe the theory that a table looks best with three of something, as opposed to two or four. Even Pottery Barn knows: decorate in threes and crazy customers will buy!
Ok, back to my point...
I didn't want to spend that much money!
Here was my fiscally creative solution:
Now, I don't have the entire Pottery Barn tablescape, but my Crate & Barrel dining accessories circa 2006 are still arguably pretty nice (we got married in '06).
Let's break it down:
$3.37 X 3 =
a lot less than
$12.95 X 3
I win!
