Sparkling Bunny Footprint Rocks

Sparkling Bunny Footprint Rocks

The kids and I had fun creating something that is full of spring excitement. We collected some rocks, gathered our craft supplies, and got to work. Our sparking bunny footprint rocks took on a personality of their own! Add sparkles and place them outside for the spring sun to shine down on!

For this kid friendly craft, you will need some adult supervision. I used a hot glue gun because our weather is mild and my toddlers need results quickly! But, if you plan on leaving these bunny footprint rocks outside and you live where the temperatures reach a level that could melt simple hot glue, feel free to use a stronger glue instead. You will also need:
  • white acrylic paint
  • pastel paint acrylic paint
  • fine glitterin pastel colors
  • small rocks
  • white glue
Step #1- Hot glue 3 smaller rocks to one larger rock
Step #2- Paint the rocks white (as a base coat for the color)
Step #3- Paint the rocks with pastel colors

Step #4- When the paint is dry, add a coat of white glue and sprinkle on some pastel colored fine glitter.

Aren’t these little bunny footprint rocks the cutest? Plus, I love how vibrantly they sparkle in the sun. I’m SO excited that the sun is out, that the sun is warm, and that the sun is ready to celebrate spring. Halleluja!

  1. I’m thinking that this would be a great craft to do with the garden in mind as well. Thanks for the great idea! I’m planning on setting up fairy doors and a small village in a corner of our yard; I may have to make some of these as our “fairy footprints”!

i think these are so cute but using a hot glue gun does not do well in
the sun if it is going to be out side what do you recommend for a better glue
one that will take the heat maybe concret glue ? need your input
    cute though
