Hydration Station for Kids

It is no secret that our family loves the warm weather of spring and summer. Memorial Day is just around the corner and we’ve already started playing outside! Do you have super active kids? So do we! Today I made a hydration station for kids to keep them hydrated while they bounce around. It’s fun, colorful, and easy to put together. I also have a $50 giveaway for anybody who loves bouncing as much as my kids do!

Hydration Station for Kids. A fun, creative, diy idea for keeping kids hydrated while they play all day!

What I love the most about a hydration station is that it can always change. One day you could have pink lemonade and the next day you could serve fruit punch. It’s whatever you want! Iced tea? Perfect! Depending on the age of the kids bouncing around your house, you could use fun jars or easy-to-hold juice boxes (kids love variety).

Our hydration station today included:

  • Pink lemonade
  • Flavored water boxes
  • Juice pouches
  • Iced lemon water
  • Popsicles
  • Ice
  • Cups with cupcake liners (used as lids)
  • Straws

I had the popsicles in a bucket of ice, but depending on the weather and temperature of where you live, you could always keep them in a fun ice chest at your hydration station.

What do your kids love to play when they’re outside? My kids love jumping. Literally.

If you’re looking for a new and fun way to motivate your kids to burn off energy this summer, consider a bounce house! Bounce houses are a great way to get kids moving and active. My kids will bounce for hours throughout the day, which is why a hydration station is important for them to have access to. They’ll bounce together, bounce alone, play games, and laugh non-stop (I wish I had a bounce house when I was a kid!). We have the Little Tikes Jr. Jump N Slide. Toys R Us offers a couple different sizes/models, but this one works really well for my kids at this age.

Check out their excitement as we inflated it today:

Quick and Easy Bouncy House

Thankfully it inflates in just minutes because active kids need stuff to happen quickly! Kids don’t want to wait around for the fun!

Assembling the bounce house is quick. Roll it out, plug in the blower (included with the bounce house), then stake it down with the anchors. That’s all!

My husband and I hung out outside while they bounced. Enjoying free time together as a family under the sun can’t be beat. The giggles of our kids can always be heard down the street:)
