Happy Fall, y’all! This is one of my favorite times of year to Decorate! The changing of the leaves, the crisp cool air, and the Fall nights growing longer and longer with each passing day. I love all things pumpkin and pumpkin spice.

The glowing pumpkin wreath doesn’t have to be hung on a door, it can be snuggled into a corner on display or can add to any harvest decor or tablescape. How do you make a pumpkin wreath? Let’s get started! Don’t forget to get the kids involved. This is a great craft for them to help out with or even do themselves.

Dollar Store Supplies:

  • Pumpkin Wreath Form – Dollar Tree has an awesome 3D pumpkin wreath form that you can use to make a pumpkin wreath.

  • Faux flowers – the bigger the better! I used mums. Get creative with various types of flowers and colors!

  • Jute Cord – or brown rope

  • Hot Glue – it dries fast and is super easy to work with

  • Orange String Lights – also found at the dollar store. Or, you can find them here on Amazon

  • Zip Ties – to attach the string lights

How to Make a Glowing Floral Pumpkin Wreath

If you can’t find the orange mums that I got at my local dollar store, I think the pumpkin would be beautiful in a variety of colors. I’d like to make a white pumpkin wreath and a maroon pumpkin wreath. First, begin by pulling the flowers off of the stems. Just try to find flowers that are big and full. Then, wrap the stem of the pumpkin wreath form with jute or rope.

Remove flowers from stems

Next, place hot glue on the underside of each flower. Then, hold the flower on the wreath form until it stays. This only takes about 10 seconds per flower because the hot glue dries so quickly. Repeat the process, one by one, until the whole wreath form is filled. Finally, attach the battery-operated orange lights on the backside of the wreath using zip ties.

Doesn’t it look adorable? Additionally, use this same technique to make other colored pumpkins as well and embellish them however you desire. After gathering all of the supplies, a gorgeous pumpkin wreath is just a few minutes away! Here are some other seasonal wreaths I’ve made.
