These easy to assemble Popcorn Corn on the Cob Bags are ADORABLE! They are baggies of popcorn wrapped in green tissue paper to look like stalks of corn on the cob. A cute treat to make at school, at home, or for a party during the fall. We also think this is a great Thanksgiving craft idea! You’re going to love how easy these are to make and they look so real.

If your kids are anything like mine they love fun food, especially if it’s holiday themed. We made these adorable popcorn corn on the cob treats and they were too cute not to share! They are super simple to create.

Materials to make popcorn corn on the cob bags

  • Snack size ziplock baggies
  • Tape
  • Double-sided tape
  • Popcorn
  • Green tissue paper (it’s great if you can get 2 different shades of green to mix together)
  • Raffia to tie the bottom
  • Scissors

How to Make Popcorn Corn on the Cob bags

Fill a small snack sized bag with freshly popped popcorn. Tape one side of the “ziplock” part to the back hide it using regular tape:

Place a piece of double-sided tape near the corner of your green tissue paper. Put the baggie of popcorn over the double-sided tape:

Wrap both sides of the popcorn baggie (as seen in the video). The double-sided tape keeps the bag in place. Next, twist the bottom of the tissue paper:

Tie the bottom with some raffia (a hay-like wrapping string found at any craft store). Cut the excess tissue paper off the bottom:

Stack the corn together and they really come to life! They look just like real corn on the cob. They are adorable and can be served at fall birthday parties, classrooms, your kids sports team or at  your kid table at Thanksgiving dinner.

Popcorn Corn on the Cob Bags

You Will Need

  • Snack size ziplock baggies
  • Tape
  • Double-sided tape
  • Popcorn

  1. For a ‘farm’ party we made these using different coloured flavourings so we had all different colours (including a spicy choc indian corn that looked amazing). Using tall fabric roll tubes which we had painted green we made corn stalks & put them in the garden beds for the kids to ‘pick’. A massive treat & so much fun, thank you for your great idea 🙂
