Washcloth Teddy Bear
The secret to making the teddy bear out of a washcloth without any sewing is simply a bit of clever folding. You can find all of the supplies at Walmart or Target.

Supplies:
- Square washcloths
- Clear elastic hair ties
- Ribbon
- Scissors

Instructions:
Begin by removing any tags attached to the washcloths to make folding easier. Sometimes these are price tags, but oftentimes they are tags with laundry instructions. The good news, they rip off easily.

Begin by laying the washcloth on a flat surface. Roll up one side to the center. Then, roll up the other side to the center. I find it helpful to place a heavy object (like a cell phone) on the first roll to keep it in place while rolling up the second half. You should have two rolls touching each other in the middle of the towel at this point.
Next, carefully flip the rolled towel over. Then, twist the towel in the center. After that, fold the towel about 2/3 of the way down. This is the beginning of the bear’s legs and arms.

Take one clear elastic hair tie and twist it on to create the beginning of the bear’s head. Gently pull the bear’s “arms” away from the center. This will reveal the bear’s little face! Finally, use 2 clear elastic hair ties to create the little bear ears.
Now that the form of the bear is complete, fluff, flatten, and manipulate the various parts to shape the bear as you like. I like to accentuate the ears by pushing my finger into the folds to make a rounder shape.

Finally, wrap a ribbon around the bear’s neck and tie a bow! I suggest tightly tying the ribbon to cinch in the washcloth fabric to separate the bear’s head from the body even more. Each bear looks uniquely different using different fabrics, colors, and ribbons!
