“Well, in Whoville they say – that the Grinch’s small heart grew three sizes that day.” One of our most favorite movies to watch every holiday season is How the Grinch Stole Christmas. It never gets old! Today we made these Grinch Skewers in excitement for the movie this Christmas. These would be so fun for a holiday get together or an after school treat too! If you are new here to Smart School House, I welcome you to look around. We have SO many easy holiday craft ideas, with Christmas being my favorite. They are cute, delicious, and look BEAUTIFUL on the holiday table!

Grinch Skewers

We love making holiday treats. Some of our most favorite include Pretzel Christmas Trees (they’re so tasty!), Candy Cane Reindeer (they’re so cute!), and Strawberry Santas (they’re so fun!). There is just something about Christmas that brings out our crafty side. We’ve assembled Candy Trains and Candy Sleighs as well as Wash Cloth Reindeers. Back to these adorable Grinch Grapes!

If you’re short on time, you could always leave off the extra sprinkles on the hat. But, don’t forget the Grinch’s heart! To make one, simply press two dots of red food gel on the grape. Using those dots of gel, guide the shape directly down into a point (without adding more gel, just use the gel from the two dots!). Waaaaaaay back when my mom took me to a puffy painting class at Michael’s when I was a kid, they called these hearts “Dolly Parton Hearts” <—–and it’s hilarious if you know the reason why.
