Butter Swim Biscuits

Equipment

  • 9″x 9″ Baking dish (or something similar) – Just nothing too small or the butter will spill over while baking
  • Non-stick spray
  • Large mixing bowl
  • Spatula

Ingredients

  • 2.5 cups Flour
  • 4 teaspoons Baking Powder
  • 4 teaspoons Sugar
  • 1 teaspoons Salt
  • 2 cups Buttermilk
  • ½ cup Melted Butter

Instructions

  • Mix dry ingredients in mixing bowl
  • Add in buttermilk (don’t overmix!)
  • Prepare a baking dish with a THIN layer of non-stick spray
  • Pour melted butter baking dish
  • Add dough over the butter and use a spatula to spread the dough evenly
  • “Cut” the dough into square pieces
  • Bake at 450° for 25 minutes or until the top is golden and dough is baked through.
