Heart Shaped Tortilla Chips
Homemade Heart Shaped Tortilla Chips for Valentine's Day. Painted tortillas that are cooked and salted and cooked until crunchy!
Equipment
- Watercolor paintbrushes
- Heart-shaped cookie cutters
- Small bowls
Ingredients
- Uncooked flour tortillas
- Non-stick spray
- Food coloring
- Water
- Salt
Instructions
- Using cookie cutters, cut out various shaped hearts out of uncooked tortillas
- Mix pink, purple, and red food coloring into small bowls filled with water.
- With a watercolor paintbrush, “paint” the uncooked tortillas with the colored water. Updated tip: paint the entire tortilla first, then use the cookie cutters to make heart shapes. Either way works!
- Place the uncooked tortillas on a cookie sheet prepared with non-stick spray
- Cook for 8-10 minutes at 350℉
- The chips get crispy as they cool
