Valentine's Day Candy Robot

Candy Robots for Valentine's Day are fun to make and fun to give as gifts! This is the perfect Valentine's Day craft idea for kids.

Equipment

  • Box of Smarties candies or Conversation Hearts
  • Sixlets
  • Small boxes of Nerds
  • Vanilla pudding or tapioca cups
  • Gooley eyes
  • Hot glue gun
  • Various craft accessories to dress the robots up (ribbon, craft foam, etc).
  • Sharpie marker

Instructions

  • Begin by assembling the candy robot from the bottom up. The two boxes of Nerds get glued together to create a sturdy base.
  • Next, the rectangular box of candy gets glued on top of the Nerds.
  • Flip the vanilla pudding cup upside down and glue it to the top of the candy box (making sure it is centered for weight purposes).
  • Add the candy arms before the crafty final touches.
  • Dress up your Valentine Candy Robots with whatever you can find at the dollar store or your local craft store.
  • Finally, glue on the googly eyes and draw on some eyelashes with a permanent marker.

Notes

These supplies are just suggestions, so remember that you can use various candies and containers with similar shapes to make the robots.
