Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup vermicelli (can be substituted with regular spaghetti noodles!)
  • 1 cup long grain white rice not instant
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • cups water
  • 2 chicken bouillon cubes
  • ½ teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon dried parsley
  • teaspoon garlic powder

Instructions

  • Break the vermicelli noodles into small pieces.
  • Melt the butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
  • Add the noodles and rice.
  • Stir constantly until the vermicelli begins to turn golden brown.
  • Add the water and seasonings.
  • Bring the mixture to a boil.
  • Reduce heat to low and cover.
  • Cook for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until rice is tender and fluffy.
