You Make Me Happy When Skies are Gray. Watercolor gift tag printable. A perfect non candy Valentine's Day, St. Patrick's Day, or party favor idea..

For this gift idea, you will need to make a trip to the $1 store. Call me crazy, I love to find a good reason to meander around that place! No matter what you go in for, you always find 8 or 9 other things that you just have to buy! If you don’t have a dollar store near you, you can always purchase these paints online, I found THESE watercolors on Amazon and they are too cute for words!

You will also need some scissors, tape, plain white paper, and baker’s twine (optional).

Simply remove the cardboard packaging found on the inside of the paint container. Flip the paints so that the black color is closest to the top where you will end up tying the baker’s twine. Tape the paintbrush (included with the paints) at a diagonal angle as seen in the photo above. Print off the label, cut them out to size, and tape them onto the outside of the plastic watercolor package.

We plan on giving these away as Valentine’s Day gifts, but honestly, the excuses you could use to make these as gifts or party favors are endless! Birthday parties, St. Patrick’s Day, Back to School, etc. etc. etc!

Have fun!

  1. I love this idea for a painting themed birthday. My daughter loves crafts and with a July birthday, I think grabbing some huge paper rolls, paints and letting them go to it would be a blast. This would be a great favor. Thanks for the suggestion.
