Supplies:
- Plastic playground balls (found at Walmart)
- Small bucket or plastic container (found in the party aisle at Walmart)
- Tinsel garland
- Solar fairy lights
- E6000 glue
- Fishing line
- Scissors
Craft Tip
I found all the supplies at Walmart, but consider using other supplies depending on what you can find!
- Swap plastic balls for beach balls
- Use color-coordinated ribbon instead of fishing line
- If you can’t find small buckets, use plastic containers and maybe even paint them in a coordinating color
- Use piques or florals instead of tinsel garland
- Hang them inside or outside
- Make more than 2 for an even bigger effect!
Instructions:
Begin by stringing the fishing line through the holes of the bucket handles. Use lots of extra fishing line so the ornaments can hang at different heights. You can always cut excess string after they are done.
Next, glue the small bucket to the ball. The E600 glue is important for this process because it sticks to the rubber, is industrial-strength, and is waterproof! Keep in mind that it takes 24 hours for the glue to dry. Finally, glue the tinsel garland around the bucket.
Once the glue is dry, hang the ornaments with the fishing line. Wrap the solar twinkle lights around the giant ornaments and watch them twinkle and glow every night!
