Cutie Carrots
Have you noticed that the little mandarin oranges are everywhere these days? You can find them at the grocery store, the farmer’s market, and even Costco! Cutie oranges are small sized mandarins and are SO tasty. With spring here and Easter quickly approaching, we made some Cutie Carrots with a few simple supplies. These are such a wonderful candy-free alternative for gift giving this season!
To make Cutie Carrots, you will need:Â (affiliate)
- Clear cone shaped treat bags LIKE THESE
- Orange tissue paper FOUND HERE
- Green tissue paper FOUND HERE
- Green deco tubing ribbon LIKE THIS
- Small Mandarin oranges (or “Cuties”)
Fill the corner of the cellophane treat bags with a little bit of orange tissue paper. Then, place 2 Cuties inside the bags. Next, gently place a piece of green tissue paper on top of the oranges (feel free to cut it down to size!).
Finally, tie the bag with a piece of green deco tubing ribbon. Deco tubing is really easy to tie, which makes it great for whipping up several bags of Cutie Carrots!
How easy was that? Instead of passing out decadent desserts or candy for Easter, maybe a Cutie Carrot bag would be more fun? Who doesn’t love Cuties? They’re so sweet, they are small enough to carry around and eat quickly, but my favorite part of all is that they are so easy to peel that a 4 year old can do it! SCORE for moms!
