My son and I were shopping and saw these really cool square ice cream sandwiches. We thought they would be SO fun for the neighborhood kids this summer. These ice cream sandwiches with red, white, and blue sprinkles are SURE to be a hit! We recently moved to a neighborhood filled with kids so we decided to put an extra refrigerator in our garage. We keep it stocked with ice cream, waters, yogurts, and quick snacks.
Ice Cream Sandwiches with Red, White, and Blue Sprinkles
We made the red, white, and blue ice cream sandwiches in advance and they’re now back in the freezer waiting to be eaten. They can also be eaten right away if you happen to be making them for a patriotic party. If kids are around, they will love to make their own.
You know how an ice cream sandwich has that perfect way of slowly melting the second it comes out of the freezer? Use that to your advantage when making these!
Put some red sugar sprinkles on a small plate. Make sure the pile of sugar sprinkles is thick enough.
- Dip one side of the ice cream sandwich in the sprinkles
- Then repeat using blue sugar sprinkles!
If you’d like to use the same ice cream sandwiches we did, we found them in the ice cream section at Walmart. Don’t go to our Walmart though, because we bought the last few boxes left haha!
Here’s our 4th of July table outside that we plan to eat these ice cream sandwiches with red, white, and blue sprinkles

There’s nothing better than having some ice cream on a hot summer day. This treat would be really fun to have just before the 4th of July fireworks too!
If you’d like to make them ahead of time, simply freeze the finished ice cream sandwiches with sprinkles in a large freezer sealable plastic bag. You can fit about 4 sandwiches in a bag.
