With the first cool breeze that entered our house, I began to bring out my holiday decor. I absolutely love decorating for Christmas and this year is extra special because we get to celebrate the holidays in our new home! I have so much more to decorate and that makes me even more excited for Christmas! Today I’m sharing this cozy holiday bedding for guests. However, this comfy bed is so plush and festive that my kids are trying to claim it all for their beds:) I don’t blame them! I might end up giving everyone in the house some cuddly and festive holiday bedding this year!

A little Christmas garland and fairy lights make this snuggly bedding from Kohl’s extra holiday ready. I love how the pop of greenery makes the plaid pattern of the Cuddl Duds pillows look a bit rustic. I also added stems of red berries and tucked them into the garland.

I’ve found myself decorating with a lot of blue lately. We recently painted the walls of this room light gray, so I layered two fluffy comforters on the bed. One is dark blue with matching pillow shams and sheets. The other one is a down alternative gray comforter. It happens to be reversible so that will extend it’s decorating power beyond the holidays too!  The added softness of two cozy comforters makes anyone want to jump right in and watch a good Christmas movie with some hot cocoa. Have I mentioned how much I love the holidays?!

When decorating a bed for guests, there are a few special things you can add to make the bedding gorgeous and welcoming. Gently drape a blanket or throw along the corner of the bed, then add a tray for your guests on top of the draped blanket. This can be a place for them to set their coffee, pastry plates, or even their glasses & watches. I added a little more greenery to the tray as well as pine cones.

You’ll also want to add lots of extra decorative pillows as well as coordinating blankets and throws. For this bed, I used the shams included in the comforter set, then I added the plaid pillows (stacked in two different sizes), as well as an additional throw pillow in front. The white oblong Cuddl Duds pillow matches perfectly with Supersoft plush blanket from The Big One

My very favorite find from the Kohl’s home sale event is this this extremely soft plaid throw blanket from Cuddl Duds. I might just have to keep it for myself:)

You can shop my comforters during the Kohl’s home sale event going on from November 7th – November 18th. Many of the items you see here can be purchased on line and picked up in store (so convenient!). During this sales event you can also find a 4 piece comforter set from Cuddl Duds for just $99 or a complete bedding set from The Big One including sheets for $119.99-$179.99.

Now that our holiday bedding is ready for company, I’m looking forward to decorating something else for the holidays. In our new house, I finally get to have two Christmas trees and can’t wait to start decorating those.
