Beaded corn made with pipe cleaners is a fall craft that is easy and beautiful! This colorful pipe cleaner beaded corn can be used for decoration this fall all the way through Thanksgiving. We LOVE fall craft ideas and this gorgeous harvest corn is one craft you must try this year.

Beaded Corn Craft
How beautiful is this colorful beaded corn? Pipe cleaners and colorful pony beads come together and look just like small corn husks. These beaded pipe cleaner corn husks are the perfect way to celebrate the new season! Bring on the cooler weather, the gorgeous fall leaves, and all things pumpkin spice:)

The kids will love getting in on the fun. Plus, simple supplies can be found at your local craft store, on Amazon, or even at the dollar store! I can’t believe how realistic the craft version looks! Using only pipe cleaners and pony beads, which are plastic craft beads, it’s super quick and simple to make. Plus, it’s a very low-mess craft! They are also super inexpensive, so you could truly make as many as your heart desires.

Pipe Cleaner Beaded Corn Supplies
- Brown pipe cleaners
- Assorted pony beads (plastic craft beads)
- Scissors or wire clippers

Instructions:
Using 7 pipe cleaners, twist the bottoms together then spread them out (almost like a spider). Place 20 assorted pony beads on each pipe cleaner. If you do not have pony beads, spaghetti beads would work just as well.

Once all 7 pipe cleaners have 20 beads, pull the tops up together with the twisted bottoms on the inside of the “corn”. You can use more pipe cleaners to create a filler ear of corn but I do not recommend using less than 7 pipe cleaners.

Twist the top of the corn together and trim with wire cutters if too long. Regular scissors work as well, but I personally suggest basic wire cutters if you happen to have some on hand. Make sure to leave them fanned out a bit for that signature look. This is where you’ll see your corn husk come together! Repeat these steps to create as many ears of corn as you’d like!

Beaded Pipe Cleaner Corn
This is a great activity for teaching patterns or even exercising fine motor skills. There are several different corn cob color schemes that you can create! The possibilities are up to you!

Tip
If you don’t have pony beads in fall or earth tones, just run with whatever colors you have on hand. Kids come up with the most AWESOME color combinations!

This Beaded Corn made with pipe cleaners is the cutest craft for fall! This is not only a great craft to make at home, consider making them at craft parties, after-school clubs, or even inside a classroom.

If you are looking for a Fall activity, I hope you enjoy this one. I think sparkly beads would be neat to try next as well as more “muted tones” like shades of white. Consider adding raffia string to the tops of the corn, or maybe even some ribbon to accentuate the corn more. Happy fall!
