Crayon Roll Tutorial
Written and photographed by Katie of Made to Be a Momma
I am so excited to be here today at Kelly’s place! She is the sweetest right?! I am even more excited to be a part of her contributing team! For my first post here, I wanted to show you all this SUPER easy crayon roll tutorial. They are perfect to pop in the purse and have to keep the kiddos busy while your at the store, doctors office, restaurants…anywhere where the kids need to be distracted! They are perfect for the kids in school to carry around in their backpacks too!
You will need two pieces of fabric 5 X 16 1/2 inches (for the outside and inside), one 6 X 16 1/2 inch piece of fabric folded in half lengthwise and pressed (for the pocket), one piece of lightweight fusible interfacing 5 X 16 1/2 inches, 30in. piece of ribbon, and Crayons ( this holds about 16).
Place your remaining fabric piece on top of your piece with the pocket. ( Right sides–pretty sides together) Fold your ribbon in half and sandwich in between the two layers.
Sew around the edges with a 1/4 in. seam, leaving a small opening for turning at the bottom. Turn right side out and press.
One thing I love about Katie’s blog is that she gives you a variety of inspirations. From sewing crafts, to printables, to SWEETS like these Oreo Frogs! YOU MUST see this cute project!

Be sure to check out the gallery of projects from all of the Smart School House contributors HERE.
See you next time Katie!
Thanks for sharing this tutorial. I will be making one for my daughter. Thanks 🙂
