Lemonade Lip Stuff

As you might know, I love making my own lil’ beauty products. From bubble bath potions, to blemish creams, and shaving lotion, I love it all! Today I’m going to share something that is perfect for the season. This lemonade lip stuff feels so good! You might have seen me while I was making it on Instagram. It’s like lemonade on your lips!

For this DIY tutorial you will need:
(affiliate links of exactly what I buy)

In a small bowl, combine the following amounts:

  • 2 Tablespoons of grated beeswax
  • 3 tablespoons of shea butter
  • 2 Tablespoons of coconut oil
  • 2 drops of lemon essential oil (or more, depending your preference)

In a microwave safe dish, heat the coconut oil, the beeswax, and the shea butter down to a liquid form (a minute or less usually). Then, gently mix the ingredients together and add a couple drops of lemon essential oil. The amount of essential oil and the scent of the oil you use is up to you!

Next, use your plastic droppers to put the melted mixture into your empty lip balm containers. The melted lip stuff will become solid within 10-20 minutes!

Once the lip stuff is settled and solid, you can put these cute little labels on the lid and give them away as gifts (or keep them for yourself!). Click the image below, drag it to your desktop, double click the photo on your desktop, then hit file and print. Some resizing might be necessary for your lip balm containers.

This lemonade lip stuff goes on perfectly clear and has lots of shine! The shea butter is nourishing, the coconut oil is moisturizing, and the beeswax is healing. Who knew lip balm could be so healthy for your lips? Wear it over lipstick or alone.
