  1. I am so making these for my toddler. Where can you find those cake boards? Could I just substitute cardboard if I can’t find them? Thanks for the tutorial.

    1. Hi Bonny! I found a pack of the 12×12 cake boards at Wal-Mart in their little baking isle. You could totally substitute cardboard if you can’t find them. But, they are so nice because they fit the 9×12 precut black felt perfectly (also found at Wal-Mart, but in the craft isle). So, there’s less cutting & measuring to do. Hope you can find them! Please send me a picture if you end up making them!!

  3. This is such a great idea and I have colored felt left over from making colored circles in thier room to match nursery theme. I couldn’t bring my self to throw out the scraps….now I’m glad I didn’t. I just saw those Crayola books at the dollar store too…

  4. You are a featured favorite on Saturday Show & Tell on Cheerios and Lattes this week! Thanks again for sharing, we can’t wait to see what you’ve got for all of us this week! 🙂
    Mackenzie 🙂

    1. They also sold the crayola books at Target in their dollar spot (I think I got mine in early 2012). I also saw puzzles that coordinated with the books at Dollar Tree in early 2013.
