Raspberry Lemonade Slushie

It was so hot this past week! Normally, the weather here ranges between 65 and 75 degrees. So, 100 degrees was out of control for us! We played water balloons, we ran in the sprinklers, we splashed in the hose, and we ate popsicles. But, we still needed ways to entertain ourselves in the heat! The kids wanted a smoothie but we had so many fresh lemons to pick. I knew plain old lemonade wasn’t going to cut it. We had already done that! So, I thought I’d get a little creative and make them their first slushie! This Homemade Raspberry Lemonade Slushie will hit the spot when you’re hot
(I’m a poet and didn’t know it- ha!).

How to make a freshly squeezed homemade raspberry lemonade slushie

For this fresh slushie you will need:

  • Lemons
  • Crushed Ice
  • Raspberry Sorbet
  • Water
  • Sugar

In a blender, combine:

  • 3/4 cup – 1 cup of freshly squeezed lemon juice (depending on how much you love lemons)
  • 3 cups of crushed ice
  • 4 scoops of raspberry sorbet
  • 1 cup of water
  • 1 tablespoon of sugar

The lemon juice, water, and sugar technically make freshly squeezed lemonade. The crushed ice and raspberry sorbet transform it into a slushie!

This recipe serves about 2 really hot kiddos:)
