Aloha from Disney’s Aulani in Hawaii! We have been having the best time! We can’t get enough of the lazy river, water slides, and beach. Even though it’s December, it’s hot out and we’re feeling happy and tan! Today we’re sharing a fun and cute Mickey Mouse dessert treat with you. Disney Ding Dong Donuts! Who would have thought that 2 classic treats would make the perfect Mickey or Minnie shape? I can’t wait to show you how we did it!

Disney Ding Dong Donuts

Supplies needed:

• Mini chocolate donuts (like these)
• Ding Dongs (like these)
• CandiQuik (like this)
• Spoon
• Microwave safe bowl 

I used vanilla (white) CandiQuik, but chocolate might work even better. Vanilla is what I had in the pantry:)

Directions:

1. Melt the CandiQuik according to the package directions (in a microwave safe bowl, stirring in 30 second intervals).
2. Using a spoon, place a small amount of melted CandiQuik on the side of one mini donut. 
3. Place the donut on the side of a Ding Dong. 
4. Repeat steps 2-3 to create “Mickey”
5. Gently place the Disney Ding Dong Donut on a flat surface and let the CandiQuik dry. It only takes a few minutes!

Isn’t this the easiest food idea for a Mickey Mouse themed party? For a Minnie Mouse party treat idea, consider adding a small red or pink bow. Or, you could even create one with a licorice rope!

The Disney Ding Dong Donuts are fragile, so handle them with care until it’s time for them to be served.
