Easter is almost here and kids everywhere are getting excited to hunt for colorful eggs! Do you have a baby or toddler who isn’t quite ready for candy, stickers, or coins inside of their Easter eggs? Then this DIY Easter Egg Hunt for Babies idea is just for you. Chances are, you already have everything you need to make the day magical and special for your tiniest bundle of joy in the house.
Easter Egg Hunt for Babies
To make the easiest Easter egg hunt for babies and toddlers, you will need:
-
Plastic Easter eggs.
-
Gerber Yogurt Melts in your child’s favorite flavors
Just before your baby or toddler wakes up, quickly assemble some of their Easter eggs. Since the yogurt melts need to be sealed to prevent them from getting soggy or stale, it’s best to assemble them just before your little one crawls out to hunt for Eggs (like this):
Simply fill 6-12 (or more!) plastic Easter eggs with yogurt melts. How many eggs you fill and how many yogurt melts you (err- I mean the Easter Bunny) put in all depends on the age and desires of your child. Walking toddlers might want more eggs with more melts, crawling babies will be different.
I like to find plastic Easter eggs with fun colors or faces. You can find fun-shaped Easter eggs here on Amazon also! Happy Easter! We hope all of the kids (and adults) in your family have a wonderful and meaningful day.
