Instructions:

First, use a disposable 9″ x 13″ or 9″ x 9″ square aluminum pan if you have one. What we love about these baking pans is that they are disposable. This sweet Easter treat is made in ONE dish! Even if you use a non-disposable dish, these Rice Krispies treats are the easiest to make! Check out our TikTok Video making this yummy treat.

Pour 4 cups of Rice Krispies cereal in an even layer over 20 colorful Easter Peeps in a baking dish prepared with non-stick spray. Add 6 tablespoons of butter sliced thin throughout the dish. The flavor of melted butter and peeps is addicting.

Bake at 375° for just 8 minutes and then stir the ooey-gooey Peeps throughout the buttered Rice Krispie mixture. Kids are good at doing this job:) Because they bake so quickly at low heat, this is a great recipe for kids to do. Nothing is scorching hot and upper-grade/teenage kids are 100% capable of handling this recipe.

If your dish is too large, push the cooked Peeps Rice Krispies slightly to the side of the baking dish while forming them once removed from the oven. You can press them evenly along each side or make them a bit thicker… there’s no wrong way to do this. Let them cool a little, cut them, and enjoy!!! 1. I looked at a few different variations of Peeps RKTs, and settled on yours. I am glad that I did. I left the mixture in the oven for 8 minutes, and the peeps were hot enough to mix in with the rice krispies very easily. Plus, using a disposable pan, and a well-buttered spatula, made clean-up a breeze. This will be how I make RKTs from now on, whether I use Peeps or regular marshmallows. Thanks.

  2. I followed the recipe step by step exactly. I was very disappointed as the peeps did not melt and the rice crispy cereal was dry as if it just came out of the box.
    So so so disappointed.

    1. Did you attempt to bake them a little longer? The Peeps have to be hot enough to melt and then the Rice Krispies will stick together:)
