Supplies
-
Plastic shower curtain rings
-
Miniature square bowls
-
Hot glue
-
Chocolate hearts
-
Metallic silver spray paint
Instructions
Begin by spray painting the shower curtain rings with metallic silver spray paint. This process takes the most time because this will require a little bit of drying time. Plus, you will need to flip the shower curtain rings over to spray and cover both sides.
It would be fun to paint some rings with metallic gold too! While the shower curtain rings are drying, it’s time to start assembling the diamonds! The tiny little bowls are square, making the resemble a princess cut haha!
Other than heart shape chocolate inside the rings, you can also fill the ring with any candy you prefer. Conversation hearts, Hershey’s kisses, or M&Ms would be so cute! Next, add a second bowl on top and secure it shut with a tiny bit of hot glue or clear tape.
The hot glue allows the top of the ring to open very easily, making the chocolate simple to get to! The tape would be a little more secure, so it all depends on how sturdy you need the rings to be.
Since I wanted the chocolate hearts to show upright, I flipped the plastic boxes upside down and hot glued the shower curtain rings to the bottom side. The hot glue is quick and easy to use, but it’s also more delicate on plastic, so you might consider using stronger glue if you need the rings to be sturdier.
How adorable are these big diamond Valentine’s rings? I just love them! Easy crafts are also my favorite. These would be great for kids to make for their mom, as well as classmates, friends, students, teachers, or co-workers! I can promise that nobody else will have this Valentine, making it even more special. Happy crafting!
