Heart Marshmallow in Hot Chocolate
Whew! What a busy few months it’s been. I sure am happy to feel calm again. It’s been one of those “just sit down and enjoy a heart marshmallow in hot chocolate” kind of afternoon for the kids and me. While we listened to the rain we talked about our day and enjoyed a few moments of relaxation before starting homework.
Now that we’re fully into the new year, we started discussing goals (they’re like resolutions, but without the pressure of having to be perfect!). Our goals are focused around:
Gratitude, adventure, courage, honesty, and respect. Letting go of what we can’t control and being thankful for what has happened because it always leads us to a better place! Not making the same mistakes and being accountable for our actions, Less is more, and being humble.
I found these large heart shaped marshmallows HERE on AMAZON. They’re so fluffy and delicious!
Because of the rain falling outside, we started talking about a vacation we recently went on. Over Thanksgiving we visited Jackson Hole, Wyoming and it was beautiful! The snow was falling and we were able to get the slopes to ourselves a couple days before their opening day. They opened a day early this year because of record breaking snow fall. Once we arrived, it was blue skies most of the time. We played, ate, and relaxed. It was the prefect way to spend Thanksgiving and we’re so glad we made the decision to go.
