Lavender Laundry Sponges

Lavender Laundry Sponges

Don’t you just love the comforting, clean, and relaxing smell of lavender? Lavender laundry sponges are reusable lavender scented fabric softeners. Just pop them in the dryer and your clothes come out soft and smelling lovely! Today’s DIY craft is not only fun to make, it will help you save money in your laundry room. This project will cost about $5.00 and we have lots of fabric softener left. I can’t wait to show you how to make these… (plus I have a free printable for you!)…

  1. Thank u so nice to find things that can be a delight to use when it’s a chore such as laundry on social security
U look for very frugal ways to throw some extra into your day. U have made my day !! We will all smell lovely (smile)

  2. Excellent idea. I do my own fabric softener, but the sponges and plastic container is brillant. Open to more ideas.

  3. I wish the dollar store was open right now! I can’t wait to hit my local store first thing in the morning to try this in my laundry this weekend. Thank you!

  4. I have done this for years the only difference is I cut my sponges into 4 squares and put every thing in a plastic jar. This works great.

  5. The plastic container looks like it was once a dishwasher pod that was used. It would save from buying one.

    1. Downey has a lavendar and vanilla version that is my fav. It’s more expensive, but this DIY will definitely save some money.

    1. I’m going to tweak this idea by soaking rags in a solution of vinegar/essential oils. I’ll probably use lavendar for bedsheets and maybe something like vanilla or sweet orange for everything else.

  6. Where did you find your container? I love it and can’t find one anywhere. We have a dollar tree but that’s it. Thanks!
