Ingredients:

Here’s what you’ll need from the grocery store to turn this creamsicle pie recipe into a delicious reality. Don’t forget to scroll to the recipe card below for precise measurements.  

  1. Shortbread cookies – Graham crackers would be a great alternative. 
  2. Butter
  3. Oranges – I used naval oranges but Mandarin oranges would work as well. 
  4. Orange zest – You can use ½ tablespoon of orange extract instead. 
  5. Vanilla Extract– You can use orange extract in addition to or instead of vanilla for an extra orange kick.
  6. Orange juice
  7. Orange Jello
  8. Cream cheese
  9. Cool Whip
  10. Sweetened condensed milk
Ingredients

Supplies:

  • Pie dish 
  • Non-stick cooking spray 
  • Mixing bowls 
  • Food processor
  • Measuring cups and spoons 
  • Stand mixer (or hand mixer) 
  • Rubber spatula

Instructions:

Prep. Spray a deep pie dish with no-stick spray.

Pie ingredients

Make the crust. Pulse the cookies in a food processor until they reach a sand-like consistency. In a mixing bowl, mix the cookie crumbs with the melted butter and then press the mixture into the bottom and up the sides of the pie dish. Pop it in the freezer while you make the filling. 

Homemade pie crust

Create orange flavor. Rinse out the food processor and add the orange slices, orange zest, vanilla extract, and orange juice. Puree until smooth. Set aside.

Make the filling base. In a stand mixer (a large mixing bowl and a hand mixer will also work), combine 8 ounces of cream cheese and the Jello mix. Beat until smooth.

Make it fluffy. Fold in the sweetened condensed milk along with 8 ounces of Cool Whip. 

No-bake pie mixture

Put it all together. beat the orange juice mixture into the filling.

Assemble the pie. Pour the filling into the pie crust.

Chill

Chill the pie in the fridge for a couple of hours for a soft-serve texture or pop it in the freezer for an hour for a more frozen dessert.

Make the topping. Whip the remaining cream cheese and cool whip together until smooth. 

Garnish. Top the pie with cream cheese whipped cream and orange slices.

  • 3 cups shortbread cookies
  • ¼ cup butter (melted)
  • 1 orange, peeled and sliced
  • 2 tablespoons orange zest
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ¼ cup orange juice
  • 1 box of orange Jello (3-ounce)
  • 12 ounces cream cheese, softened and cubed, divided
  • 12 ounces cool whip, divided
  • 1 can sweetened condensed milk (14-ounce)
  • Orange slices for garnish

Notes

Storage Instructions:
Once the pie has chilled in the fridge or the freezer for a few hours (it needs some time to firm up), wrap it in a double layer of plastic wrap. You can store it in the fridge for up to 1 week or in the freezer for up to 3 months.
Should I eat orange creamsicle pie warm or cold?
This pie is best enjoyed cold or frozen. If you want a more soft-serve ice cream feel, enjoy it cold. If you want a more solid frozen dessert, eat it frozen

  1. How much zest? How much vanilla extract?? How much oj? Very frustrating when you’re in the middle of making this pie, like I am now, and realize that there are no complete ingredients list or directions.
