The Lunch Bag Tag

The Lunch Bag Tag is a lovable way to celebrate school lunchtime! Are your kiddos heading back to school? Tis the season!! I happen to love all of the back to school festivities happening lately! Can you tell? A great way to get your kiddos excited about the new year (because, I get it, not all kids love ending summer) is to send them to school with a special note. There is actually a free printable in this post, so have fun!

To make a Lunch Bag tag for back to school, start by folding over the top of a brown lunch bag. Then, simply punch 2 holes in the bag like this:

Next, make pencil dots on the back of the lunch bag tag and, using the hole punch, make 2 matching holes in the tag just like this:

Finally, you tie the lunch bag tag on with a bow! How ca-ute!

Wouldn’t your child LOVE to see this on their lunch each day? There is something very special about getting a note from mom, dad, or even grandma in a child’s lunch. It reminds them of you and that you love them! Plus, this little tag promotes literacy because kids are excited to read what is on their menu for the day. Practice, practice, practice those reading skills!
