- Buffalo wing sauce
- Frank’s Hot Sauce (or a hot sauce)
When preparing to make this chip dip, leave the cream cheese out to reach room temperature. Depending on the weather or temperature of the house, this may take a few hours. Running short on time, you can GENTLY warm the cream cheese in the microwave. Just be sure not to melt it.

After years of eating chip dip, I decided that it was time to give it a shake-up. A compliment to the ordinary chip dip we all know and love. Salty chips mixed with buffalo flavoring will leave you CRAVING more!
I love potato chips! And when I say love them, I mean that they are my go-to snack anytime I get a craving for something salty, crunchy, and just downright delicious. But after years of eating chip after chip, I decided that it was time to give them some sort of a companion.
If you’re not a football fan, you could still come up with any excuse for some “dip party”. It’s dip heaven. And it would definitely go well with crackers or bread. Don’t forget to soften your cream cheese when combining your ingredients. Also, if you save it in the fridge do not forget to soften the mixture or else your chips or crackers will break.
Potato Chip Dip
- Electric Mixer
- Mixing bowl
- Bowl for serving
- 2 (8 ounce) packages of cream cheese, at room temp
- ¼ cup sour cream
- ½ cup buffalo wing sauce
- 1 tsp Frank’s Hot Sauce (or a hot sauce)
- Set out cream cheese until it reaches room temperature. This may take a few hours depending on the weather or temperature of the house. In a hurry? You can gently warm the cream cheese in the microwave.
- In a mixing bowl, combine all of the ingredients
- Put the chip dip in a serving bowl and refrigerate until ready to serve
- Serve with potato chips
