Baked Cream Cheese Wontons

In an attempt to make something a little bit easier and a little bit healthier, we made these baked cream cheese wontons appetizer today that lasted all of 10 minutes (they are THAT good!).

If you love cream cheese wontons and you’ve never made your own, this is the only recipe you’ll ever need!

Ingredients for Cream Cheese Wontons

  • Non-stick spray
  • 2 tablespoons of butter (melted)
  • Wonton wraps (found at any grocery store)
  • Cream cheese

Baked cream cheese wontons are a perfect appetizer for football season. But whether you’re firing up the grill in the stadium parking lot or hosting a small get-together with your friends right at home, these baked cream cheese wontons are a guaranteed hit. You might want to make a double batch because they’re just that good. They disappear in the blink of an eye.

How to Make Cream Cheese Wontons

How easy is that? We put 8 on each sheet, but you could put more on if you’re serving a crowd!

2 ingredient BAKED CREAM CHEESE WONTONS - so easy! Must try-

Put a little bit of cream cheese in the center of the wonton wraps. Using a basting brush, put melted butter along each edge (as seen in the video above).

Connect all 4 corners and give them a pinch so they stay. Brush a little more melted butter on the outside of each wonton (especially the edges). Bake for 5-8 minutes or until the edges turn a light brown color.

Baked cream cheese wontons

They’re slightly crunchier than the fried version, but they are 100% just as wonderful as the fried version. Hey, whatever it takes to make a cheese appetizer healthier – I’ll take it!

Baked Cream Cheese Wontons Recipe

Baked Cream Cheese Wontons Recipe

You Will Need

  • Non-stick spray
  • 2 tablespoons of butter (melted)
  • Wonton wraps (found at any grocery store)
  • Cream cheese

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.
  2. Spray baking sheet with non-stick spray
  3. Lay out wonton wraps
  4. Put a dollop of cream cheese on the center of each sheet
  5. Using a basting brush, put melted butter along each edge (as seen in the video)
  6. Connect all 4 corners and give them a pinch so they stay
  7. Brush a little more melted butter on the outside of each wonton (especially the edges)
  8. Bake for 5-8 minutes until the edges get brown.
  9. Eat warm. Store in the fridge. Re-heat if necessary!
